The South County Dublin Golf Club is Situated on a gentle hillside underneath the shadow of the nearby Dublin Mountains, no more than seven miles from the M50, The South County Golf Club has a delightful 'away from it all' atmosphere that inspires a feeling of tranquility, far from the hustle and bustle of Dublin city.
Use of the landscape is a key feature of The South County Golf Club and this is truly apparent as the golfer ambles through the front nine surrounded by rolling hills and heather clad plains. The subtlety and spleandour of the course is highlighted by the excellent use of water throughout. This is no more amply demonstrated than on the 15th fairway where the Brittas River crosses no fewer than 3 times. Throughout the round the player will be teased and tested by disguised landing areas, deceptive carries and strategically placed bunkers. Indeed the course becomes noticeably more penal and hazard strewn as the round comes to an end. In this renowned finishing stretch you need to display equal measures of caution and courage in order to reach the sanctuary of the clubhouse intact.
