Set in mature parkland, the course has many picturesque views, which are enhanced by clusters of oak, beech and chestnut trees as well as stately avenues lending to a truly scenic setting. With the Slieve Bloom's in the background and a lazy stream wandering its way through the course, you will enjoy your round of golf at Tullamore. We are located just 5 kilometres south of Tullamore town. Travelling on the N52 (Birr road), for 3 kilometres, you take a left turn on to the R421 - Kinnitty road. The Golf Club is located on the right - hand side. The course was re-designed in the mid 1990's by course architect, Patrick Merrigan. The result is a magnificent course which combines the best of the James Braid design with new sand-based undulating greens, mounding, creation of three lakes, bunkering, an excellent drainage system ensures that the course is playable all year round together with the addition of more trees, provides a course of championship standard to the discerning golfer. The 5th, 6th, 16th and 18th holes in particular, provide the visitor with an unforgettable challenge.
